Cybersmart

this Week for cybersmart we were learning to clean our drives we had to clean our by putting them into the right folder if we did not know what folder to put into we put into this folder that hold files that we don't know which file goes the right folder.

Ki O Rahi

This week we went down to dunkirk for interschool. Our first game against Tamaki Primary was hard because Tamaki Primaries defence was good after a rough game we lost.Next we played against Te poa the first game we won because our attack was very good because of our strategies. We had a second round because Panmure District was not here.The second round was not that easy because we were playing harder opponents after a very hard game we lost.After that we played St Patrick school was a easy match because they're defence was bad after a few rounds we won St Patricks had a good team but bad defence as taniwha.Next we played against stone fields.stone fields  was a very hard team to play against because they had very quick people. We had a very good defence as taniwha we scored as much points to try win after a rough game we thought we were going to lose but the ref said we won.       

Leprechaun Thief/ W.I.P/Writing

LI- To write a narrative in the form of a play.
This week for writing we are planning a orientation of a play. We had to make lines for characters in role play. We have five characters that have different personalities and one day someone or something comes and steals jewelry. And these five friends help each other to find the jewelry but one of the friends tells information about them to the thief.We have not done our lines we are still working on it.

Zoo Trip

LI. To learn about the animals in the Auckland Zoo
We first went to the Africa.The first thing we learnt about was about giraffes,Zebras and ostriches. We had a employee tell us more about the giraffes he told us there was only female giraffes in the enclosure the names there was karaka,rukia and I forgot the the other name. We also learnt that the ostrich can run to about 70 miles per hour. Next was the Zebra. The Zebra parent takes very good care of the youngest. 


Next we had to get with our teachers next we went to australia. We first looked at the red pandas the red pandas.We also learnt about the food they eat like bamboo leaf tips and bamboo.Red pandas are also herbivores.Then we looked inside a vet where they take in animals to take care.We also saw the layout of the zoo inside the vet.Next we went to the monkey enclosure the monkey.We looked at  the spider monkey the spider monkey carries the baby monkeys on their backs around the enclosure. The baby monkey wraps its tail around the mother's tail.

Then we visited New Zealand. We looked at the penguins and the seals. We went down into this place where the kiwi were we had to be real quiet and it was also very dark we saw a lot of different types of Kiwis In the enclosure.

           

Maths/ Identifying Decimals

LI: to identify and count tenths, hundredths, and thousandths. This week for maths we were learning about decimals we made a google slide about decimals. We first had to look at our number then words we had to write what the decimals are in words then we had to type in the fraction of the decimal.Then we had to write in the number before and the number after. Lastly we had to color in boxes in the image.

LI. To be responsible in the sea and when fishing

What we Learned 

Legal fish sizes which means you have to ruler them to see if they are the right size to take.

Life jackets and Safety you would need these if you are on a boat just in case you gotten hurt or fell of the boat.

Plastic: when your out fishing swimming and see plastic pick it up and throw into the trash can.

Sea birds: keep them away from your bait because a hook could be stuck onto the bait and if they eat they could get injured then die.  salt ice: use salt ice to clean fishes instead of fresh water because the fish could go bad.

Wet towel: is used to pick up a fish because if you use your hands to pick up the fish the scales  of the fish would come of and the fish would die.

What we did

We did challenges to get prizes from miss minstrel.

We also answered questions to more prizes

 

Gymnastics

LI. To learn new things
This week for gymnastics we were learning new stretch like the cat leap we also had to do a pose on the bar but before that we had to jump on bar then do the pose next we had to walk sideways  . After that we had to do our circuit the first thing I did was the trampoline one we had to jump on the trampoline then do a dive roll on to the gym mat.   

We had four rotations in each rotation had different obstacles to do.

Kiwi Can

LI. Follow through what we say.
This week for kiwi can we were learning about responsibility and that was our topic we had a talk what could make us responsible. We played a game called 21 but a little different we had to look at someone and say a number then they would carry on playing. After that we had talk about our theme and topic our theme was integrity. Integrity is doing something good. We also had a talk about what good things we could do. 

Maori

LI. To learn Weathers in maori.

This week for maori we were learning about stars and the weathers in maori we had to create a DLO showing english and maori ways of saying the weathers. We also had to add in pictures showing what the weather's were. We also read a book about a star warning a girl about the lambs she went and told her father and mother. And took the lambs to a shed to keep them warm.
