LI: to play double tennis

Double tennis is when two players play against other players both

players on each team should have turns at hitting the ball the person closer to the ball should hit the ball we practised by playing  doubles 

Writing

This week for writing we had to make a character setting. We had to make a female and male Character. Each group had to make a character then we had to vote what female and character.We had to make a Character setting in these settings show what they're weaknesses are and what they their personalities are. I also included information about them.

Maths

This week for maths My group and I were finding out the plane distance average. By doing that we had to throw the plane ten times. After that we had to add all the measurements of a calculator then divide it by ten after we have our answer.After we had our measurements we had to make a graph to show the plane distance.

Inquiry

This week for inquiry we played a game that Mr O made it was called coffee shop. In this game it was like it in real life because we had to buy enough stock to sell out to the customer's. After two days our stock will run out.On sunny days I put the price on low because not enough people would buy it because itis very hot.When it is very cold I put the price on high because a lot of people would buy the coffee.

Reading/Ven Digram

This week for reading I had to make a three circle venn diagram about the three farmers from Mr Fantastic fox. I had to describe what they look like and if they have any traits to mr fantastic fox.I also had to describe how they look and what they're personality.

How I learnt this?
I learnt about these by reading the book.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we were learning about being patience. We played a energizer to help us with our patients. I don't know what the energizer is called, In this game we had to get a partner and the kiwi can leader had to choose a word and make a story out of the word. When he says the words you'd have to grab the person's hand.

LI To investigate figurative language

This week for writing we were learning about telling sentence and show. My group and I had to write a simple telling sentence. Before we did that we had to choose a setting for the background of the story,We chose a Island and the background story was us people in my group being on a stranded Island. After we wrote our telling sentence we had to make a show. The show was a improved version of the telling sentence.We had to explain to the people reading show how it would actually feel,The story had to be negative and not positive.

Maori

Activity:No Hea Koe
This week for maori we were learning about maori words. We had to try and find out the meaning of the words and the macrons.Whaea odi shared us a google doc of words. The thing I used to help me was the maori dictionary.

Activity:Wiki Wha
This week for maori we had to go around and ask people where they were from. I had to ask people from my group and other groups. While I was doing this I also had to answer these other questions. I had to write down where my parents were from.

Manaiakalani Festival 2019

This week we had to choose any movie made from the school's we watched we also had to comment on they're blog. The movie I chose was kaleidoscope. I chose this because it was very satisfying.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we were learning about respectful communication.We had a talk what could be a respectful communication. We had to talk with each other what we would do that is respectful in these communications.

Manaiakalani Film Festival

This week we had to find a movie from any school from 2019,We had to watch the movie,After that we had to comment on their blog.

Maths/Planes

   

This week for maths we had to measure our planes wingspan so that we could predict how far it would go.Each person in our group had to fold 7 planes then measure it.We had to make a spreadsheet to record our data on the plane.

Kiwi Sport/Tennis

This week for kiwi sport we were learning how to use our tennis racket with our right hand we also had to challenge our partners. Throughout kiwi sport we also got to learn how to serve on a net,we'd have to put the ball on the net then whoever side the ball will drop on we would have to hit it then play.We had a challenge with our partners we had to play a game but we could not swing the tennis racket on a little so that the ball would not go far.If the ball drops my partner would have a point or me.The thing I learnt from this activity was the new technique.

Touch Rugby/Interschool

This week we had touch rugby inter school. This meant we got verse other schools,as we got there we had to warm up so we were practicing new tricks and moves that would help us throughout the match. The first game we had was against tamaki primary. This was a tough game  because they had the fast people,Whenever we had the ball we would use the three man drive this would help us throughout the game because if we are fast enough they would be off side then we could try.Throughout the day we we won no games and lost 7 games.The thing I learnt was the new techniques other people were using. 

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we were learning about respecting other people.We had a talk about what we would do to respect this person and help them.We had three different types of situation's.They were baby,Old lady trying to cross the road and Friends at the park.The thing I learnt from this activity was what people would do in these situations.

Maori

This week for maori My group and I had a task. In this task we had to translate some countries and islands around the world.We had to google and research the translation of each country in this list it was very hard looking for these words because we couldn't find much. The thing I learnt from this activity was the countries in maori and how they were spelt and pronounced.
