Cybersmart

This week for cybersmart we were learning about Legal and illegal.We first had to find out what the meaning was by reading a sentence.Legal means things your allowed to use and illegal are things you can't do or use.We had find images on sites that are legal and illegal.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we were learning about strength and weaknesses.We had a to talk to one another and  explain what we were good (Strength) at,We also had to name three things we were bad (Weakness) at.While we were talking I learnt what people were bad (Weakness) at and good (Strength) at.The thing I learnt throughout this activity was learning about what other people are good at.

Inquiry

LI: What is business
This week for inquiry we had to put in labels of companies we think go together.We knew some companies like Nike goes together with Adidas because it is a clothing brand.We had to figure out what the other's would go together,so We put all services together and clothing brands together and electronics. The thing I learnt from this lesson was how all business's can be different. 

Maori

This week for Maori we were learning about Maori words. We had to figure out what these Maori words meant. For an example: Ko wai te papa o Lisa? Homer (Who is Lisa's dad). We had to find out the meaning of each sentence then put in there name to correct the sentence. The thing I learnt from this session of Maori was how to speak Maori.

Maths/Research

LI: To research. This week for maths we were researching the meaning and function of twenty one words to make a prediction of what we will be studying over the next couple of weeks. We worked in three groups. In my group there were Farzana and Sulia. Our prediction was that we were going to study planes but we are actually going to study planes and aerodynamic using paper planes.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can was a little different because we had to get into 2 groups. The 2 groups had sporty and thinking people.We had to complete different types of challenges. The think I learnt was cooperating with my team members.In my team were people that were not in to sports I was but I still had fun we did things that also included physical touch.We also had to make a human pyramid and make a circle than sit on each other.   

Writing

This week for writing we were learning how to make a proper recount. Mr O wrote down things that related to writing a recount. He also showed us how to mark our own writing. While we were writing we had to use punctuation in the right places.Mr O told us to list 5 words that we think are important.After that we had to give our writing to another person to rate our writing. 

Reading/Vocab

LI - Build knowledge of vocabulary, and links words create to the wider world.

This week for reading we were making a google slide about different types of things. We had to find out how people use this item or animal. We also had to find out multiple meanings for this solid object or  item.

Maths

This week for maths we had a practice on our books about the different types of maths problems. Mr W wrote down some maths problem that were in fractions/Fraction of sets,perimeter and area,time and decimals.We  used math strategies to help us with this task. I mostly did place value because I think it's easier. We also had limited time to finish all 5 problems. We also had to find out multiple ways we could share a rectangle with 6 people.We got to show Mr W how we solved it and what strategy we used to help us with the problem.     

Maori

This week for maori we were learning about maori words and we had to find the meaning of the word and animal. There was a list of maori words on the google doc. The things I learnt about maori was the new words in maori we also found out what one word could mean so many things.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we were learning about respect. Our Kiwi Can Leader's were Mr Latu and C-Manu .Respect was our new theme our topic was respecting ourselves. We also had a talk about what we think respect meant. We asked "being honest" and other things that we thought relates to respect. We played a energizer that could help us with our listening.
